We Remember Gordon Parks:  Passed away at Age 93

The image at left says it all. I was super excited to be in the presence of Gordon Parks. HBO had hired me to photograph a screening of Half Past Autumn. News of his passing just hit the wires. Next History Class by Dr. Kwaku Now In Session

If you have never experienced a university-level Black history class in the community, this is your chance to do so. It is being held Friday's from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Kaos Studios, 4343 Leimert Blvd, (on the corner of Leimert Blvd. and 43rd Place in Los Angeles) Dr. Kwaku Person-Lynn will conduct the last of his three part Afrikan World Civilizations history classes, beginning with Part 1.  Registration will begin at 6:00pm. "Even if you have taken a Black studies class or even majored in the field, most do not cover the information covered in this class," says Dr. Kwaku.
