at 16th Annual Los Angeles Black Business Expo
& Trade Show
Africa - USA Trade Relationships Explored The Africa/USA International
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AfUSA) is pleased to invite the press
corps of the Greater Los Angeles area to meet and interview the Honorable
Gilbert V. Bukenya,
Vice President, Uganda. The Vice President will be available on Friday
September 10th at 2:00 pm in
Room 309, second level, Tom Bradley Hall, Los Angeles Convention Center,
Figueroa Street and Pico.
Members of the Ethiopian and South African Trade Delegations will also be
available to respond to
questio ns during the Press Conference.
The Vice President will address the 2nd Africa-USA Trade Conference, on
Saturday morning, September 11, 2004 in Room 308A/B.
The conference and Africa Trade Pavilion are conducted in partnership with
the Los Angeles Black Business Expo and Trade Show (LABBETS) at the world
famous Los Angeles Convention Center.
The leaders of these two economic development organizations (Dr. Reuben Jaja,
President of AfUSAand Harold Hambrick, President of LABBETS) have combined
forces and resources to accelerate the growth of trade and investment
between businesses in the USA and businesses on the African continent.The
Africa Trade Pavilion, brings the products and experiences of Africa to the
heart of Los Angles.
This year we feature exhibits from Ethiopia, South Africa, Uganda, and
Ghana. Business owners, trade
representatives and government leaders will have access to the exhibitors in
the Africa Trade Pavilion and
the 400+ exhibitors and sponsors in the Los Angeles Black Business Expo at
large.
Concurrently, the Africa-USA Trade Conference will offer a series of
plenary, panel discussion and
networking sessions for the full and unfettered exchange of information on
trade and investment
opportunities and humanitarian programs throughout the African continent.
