Arelettia Jones:
Honored by the Black Women's Network
The BWN recently recognized Arelettia Jones for her
years of excellent service and assistance to the businesses and
organizations that participate in the annual event.
That feat was also covered in the Freedom Journal
which wrote: "Her commitment to excellence in trade show management inspires
exhibitors to strive for excellence in marketing their products and services
each year."
As Expo/Tradeshow
Management Consultant, Arelettia Jones is responsible for the strategic
direction, logistics, and the operational success of the Expo, the largest
event of its kind on the West Coast. She provides leadership through
partnering with the region's many small business owners and major sponsoring
corporations.
Since 1999 she has helped to expand LABBETS, the second largest annual
consumer show (the National Auto Show is number one) held at the L. A.
Convention Center. Her duties include management of the 400,000 square feet
multi-use floor space--Automobile placement, coordination of the live remote
radio broadcasts, logistics of the massive entertainment stage and lighting,
among many other things..
A native Angeleno, Arelettia has more than 14 years of national convention
and tradeshow exhibition management experience. As a certified member of the
International Association for Exposition Management, Arelettia is a
specialist in operations, administration, budgeting, sponsor/exhibitor
services, event planning and execution, and convention center staff
management. She knows the insiders of the industry.
Prior to joining LABBETS, Arelettia was the National Exhibits Manager for
the Beckman's Gift Shows. There she led and managed four national trade
shows each year in four major markets: Los Angeles, Chicago,
Dallas, and D.C. Each tradeshow serviced over 500 exhibitor companies and
30,000 buyers.
Since 1999, Arelettia started her own Management Consulting business
offering her marketing, public relations and special events expertise to a
variety of community programs.
With a solid background in marketing, finance, strategic planning and sales,
Arelettia is nationally known for her work in the trade show industry
particularly as it pertains to small business development. Collaborating
with major corporations and agencies seeking product/service brand
recognition, Arelettia has successfully demonstrated a unique ability to
create significant value for all involved in regional economic stimulus and
enterprise revitalization. In addition to technical logistical cooperation
of trade shows, Arelettia also produces annual Business to Business
conferences and economic development summits conducted at major Southern
California Hotels.
Arelettia is a member of
the International Association for Exposition Management (IAEM),
National Assoc. of Black Female Executives in the Music & Entertainment
Industry (NABFEME), and the Black Women's Network (BWN)
A graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Granada Hills, CA.,
Arelettia received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in, Radio, Television & Film
from California State University, Northridge.
